To help make homelessness brief, rare, and non-recurring HHA funds and helps its members facilitate 5 different programs:
These programs are designed to meet the immediate needs of unsheltered individuals and families, connecting them to food, showers, emergency shelters, health care, and other community resources.
These programs are designed to stop the cycle of homelessness before it starts. Agencies offering prevention services offer counseling services to individuals and families at risk of homelessness as well rental and utility assistance to keep people in their current homes.
These programs provide a safe place for people to stay and ensure their basic needs are met. All of our shelters are housing first, so case management services are designed to help clients move into permanent housing as quickly as possible.
These programs support clients in navigating the housing search process and provide financial assistance to cover re-housing fees. Once the individual is housed, case managers work on stabilizing the household by increasing income and addressing physical and emotional health issues.
Permanent Supportive Housing
Subsidized housing for chronically homeless individuals. This program provides long term rental assistance and ongoing case management focused on helping clients develop independent living skills. Case managers also help clients navigate community resources so that their physical and mental health needs are addressed.
