Emergency Preparations & Updates

As Florida enters hurricane season, HHA remains in close contact with local Emergency Management offices and community partners to help support the safety of people experiencing homelessness in Okaloosa and Walton counties.

HHA has an Emergency Management Plan that will be activated as needed during severe weather events. We are committed to working with our partners to share timely information and help connect vulnerable neighbors with available emergency resources.

If emergency shelters open during a storm, HHA will post shelter locations and transportation pickup locations for both counties on our website and Facebook page.

Please check back here for storm-related updates. You can also follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/hhalliance for updates on services, shelters, and transportation information.

2026 Hurricane Season Emergency Preparedness Fliers

Please print and display these fliers in any location where homeless persons might readily see the information (e.g. food pantries, shelters, local government buildings, churches, etc.)
