Challenge funds are available to members in good standing of the Okaloosa Walton Homeless Continuum of Care to address housing, service, and program needs in alignment with the CoC Strategic Plan.
Requests must be completed by a designated case manager with an active HMIS license. Submitting agencies are responsible for providing follow-up case management and documenting that support in HMIS as it occurs.
Before submitting a Challenge request:
- Review available community resources.
- Consider client vulnerability and prioritization.
- Ensure the client is entered in HMIS and the request is connected to an overall Housing Stability Case Plan.
Incomplete requests, or requests without clear HMIS documentation and case management connection, may be rejected and returned to the submitting agency.
