Our Programs


Homelessness & Housing Alliance is the lead agency and collaborative applicant for the Okaloosa Walton Homeless Continuum of Care (FL-505). HHA funds and supports housing and service programs delivered through its member agencies to help make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.

Outreach

These programs are designed to meet the immediate needs of unsheltered individuals and families, connecting them to food, showers, emergency shelters, health care, and other community resources.

Prevention

These programs are designed to stop the cycle of homelessness before it starts. Agencies offering prevention services offer counseling services to individuals and families at risk of homelessness as well rental and utility assistance to keep people in their current homes.

Shelter

These programs provide a safe place for people to stay and ensure their basic needs are met. All of our shelters are housing first, so case management services are designed to help clients move into permanent housing as quickly as possible.

Rapid Re-Housing

These programs support clients in navigating the housing search process and provide financial assistance to cover re-housing fees. Once the individual is housed, case managers work on stabilizing the household by increasing income and addressing physical and emotional health issues.

Permanent Supportive Housing

Subsidized housing for chronically homeless and disabled individuals. This program provides long term rental assistance and ongoing case management focused on helping clients develop independent living skills. Case managers also help clients navigate community resources so that their physical and mental health needs are addressed.

Housing Navigation

Housing Navigation helps individuals and families find and move into stable, safe housing. This includes locating available units, building relationships with landlords and property managers, maintaining current housing listings, and supporting caseworkers with housing options and information.

7.13.2. In accordance with §216.1366, F.S., if the Provider is a nonprofit as defined in §215.97(2)(m), F.S., the Provider must provide documentation to the Department that indicates the amount of state funds:7.13.2.1. Allocated to be used during the full term of the contract for remuneration to any member of the board of directors or an officer of the contractor.7.13.2.2. Allocated under each payment by the public agency to be used for remuneration of any member of the board of directors or an officer of the contractor.
