    850-678-4621 For residents of Choctaw Beach, Niceville, and Valparaiso, Center of Hope Benevolent Ministry offers help to eligible residents with some of their needs. Proof of residency and the bill (lease agreement) must be presented, paperwork filled out, and interview with a counselor takes place Monday – Thursday, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at 601 31st St. in Niceville. Checks are made out to Chelco, Okaloosa Gas, etc for payment as no cash is given to clients for their financial needs.

Appointments for counseling or food stamp/Medicaid applications are best scheduled ahead of time with a case manager. Services for income-eligible Walton County residents include food, diapers/hygiene items, clothing, financial assistance (rent/deposits, utilities, and Rx), counseling and case management. All unsheltered persons or persons at risk of losing shelter, regardless of county residence, are eligible for One Way Home assessment during walk in hours or by appointment.
